Spent the night here after a family party. Very cosy room, beautifly decorated. Reccomend to anyone. Hosts and staff very friendly generally a lovely locals pub. And only a stepping stone away From Chester. It's got to be worth a try, dog friendly too.

Called in for some food after work on Friday - ordered a Munchie Box and it was amazing! Really good value for money and lots of food with choices of dips. The food was fresh and hot and it was great everything coming together in a pizza box to enjoy with our drinks.our box had chicken wings, onion rings, chips and chicken bites. We also had garlic mushrooms . All amazing and we will definitely be back soon

Fab pub and the food was excellent. We got a snack box to share and it was more than enough for 2 of us. Really hot , fresh and very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!

This was a visit to meet up with a friend. What a surprisingly spacious room and bathroom for what is, essentially, a village pub (no offence intended). I have been in top hotels that offer less room. I had a wonderful nights sleep and when …

We stayed at the Red Lion and loved it. The pub had a lovely feel and great character. Our room was cosy with a big en-suite bathroom and large bath. The owners were so friendly and kind, we especially enjoyed the breakfast... best hash browns ever. I would recommend staying here, especially if you have a car since there is a car park.

We stayed here for on a Saturday night whilst attending the open air theatre. There was entertainment on during that night but we were back quite late and it didn’t disturb us. We were fully advised about the entertainment prior to …

We stayed here for a night whilst visiting Chester and the surrounding area. What a lovely little gem of a place.||||||As soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed by the landlord and land lady - they couldn't have been more …

Not a fun experience. Music and game night blasting from downstairs. Smoke from beer garden and loud talking right outside window. About 8 miles from Chester. Lots of nicer places right in Chester for not much more money. Didn't even …

I don't know where to begin with this place..the staff were so friendly & welcoming from beginning right up to offering me a lift to the station after my visit. The bed was soo comfortable, it's a beautiful setting, with a slightly vintage feel. It's so peaceful as well which is what I wanted since I had a late night from before at a wedding. The breakfast choices were spotted on & nicely cooked fresh. It was just an amazing experience there...I would definitely stay there again & highly recommend it also...the only negative I have to say is that it's a pity i couldn't stay longer...
